Summer plans

Hello reader-fellas

Embrace yourselves, Summer is just around the corner and holidays are coming with it.
Yes, I know, that is not a mystery for anyone because there is at least one summer every year everywhere... but there are not necessarily holidays in every summer, not at least in my case. Not during the last summer.

Each summer, since I was a kid, I travelled to different places, mostly to camp and practice hiking inside national parks and natural reserves at the south of Chile, Argentina and even Uruguay. It became the main way I had to renew myself psychologically, physically and spiritually speaking!

Then, in the summer of early 2017, after more than a decade of camping every year, I had to broke my sacred tradition because of a feet surgery that kept me "out of action" for months.
Since then I have been feeling and increasingly urgent need of escaping from civilization and crowds.

That's why, no matter what happens this summer, I will work as much as I can, as soon as I can, to get as much money as I can before leaving Santiago and to have enough money to be anywhere else the most possible amount of time before the first week of classes in my university.

The optimistic option is to travel in the sweet company of my lovely girlfriend during entire February (until March) and spend one or two weeks visiting family and friends that live in Freirina, Pucón, Puerto Varas, Puerto Montt y Maullín. I lived in Maullín during my childhood and I travel there almost every year at least for a few days so it would be awesome to show it to my girlfriend. I could show  her all the awesome places that I have told her about my childhood. If there is good weather we could go to the beach and swim in the river for hours or, if there's bad weather, we could eat tons of southern food next to a warm wood stove instead, everything surrounded by a beautiful landscape.

I have good friends that I met here in santiago but that now live at "the south" and both have already asked me several times to visit them during this summer. Their houses could be a place to stay before starting the second half of the travel that hopefully would consist in going somewhere far away from civilization to do camping and hiking. One lives in Pucón, next to some awesome national parks and natural attractions; The other lives near Temuco and knows a lot of awesome places where to do camping and hiking.  I hope that by a miracle I get enough money to travel during part of January too so I wouldn't need to choose between them.
